The earnings of the movies in the box office are kinda low

I didn't know that some place around the world already have open theaters! The movie on the top 5's 5th place earned $6,596 only and the top grossing film earned only a million dollars. In the past these earnings will be considered flop but in today's global climate, 1 million might be considered a hit. Most movies are Indie horrors and one of them are shot with a webcam, 
and smartphone. This is like a glory day for low budget movies.
