Are we as a society too easy on prisoners by allowing them so much freedom and choices?

Not every prisoner deserves to be treated with respect, it depends on his behaviour and past criminal record. If you see some positive progress in him, then you can allow him some freedom. But if he is willing to stay as a criminal then he deserves much stronger punishment. This is my view, lets see what others say!
