Popular beach areas in Europe are in Spain with all its little islands like Minorca, Mallorca and Ibiza. It also has the Canary Islands. The Greek islands like Corfu, Crete and Rhodes have really pretty beaches. I prefer to visit tropical beaches that have coconut palm trees. Americans do you like Florida? What is it like there for you? I have been to some wonderful tropical islands like Samoa, Sri Lanka and Bohol Island in the Philippines. I find cities really interesting to visit. The best ones I have been to are Sydney, Cape Town and Vancouver. Do you prefer quiet places in the countryside?

I live in a tropical country so beach is really plentiful in my place. I think that though I seldom go to the beach they are my favorite place to visit when I have the time. I feel more relax on seeing that place as they look serene and calm.

@rsa101 We did a fantastic day trip around Bohol Islands. Amazingly I drove a jeep along past the Chocolate Hills. We got to see tarsier animals which was amazing. We visited a butterfly center. It was relaxing to look around it. To end the day we got taken to a palm fringed beach.

I have a condo on the water in Florida. It's our tropical paradise. We also have a home up north that is in a quiet suburb of a city.
I loved Honk Kong, Paris, Rome, Athens, London, and Rio de Janeiro the most and Oahu and Maui also. We've been to many countries and continents over the years. All have something wonderful to offer.

I love the sound of your condo in Florida by the waterside. I think right now you are in your home in the north which you like because it is in a quiet suburb. I live in a coastal town in a quiet close with a patch of grass next to my home. I loved visiting Rio de Janeiro. We went to see Sugar Loaf Mountain. On our way up we saw a monkey. The next day we went up to see the statue of Christ on the other mountain. We reached it by cog railway. Later that day we had a stroll around the botanical gardens.

@maximax8 Thank you! Our condo on the water in Florida was a dream come true. Unfortunately, we won't return until this darn virus is over.
I love England and would love to live in a little village on the coast.
Rio was so awesome! I'm so glad you were there and got to visit those places. On was on school vacation when we were there, and met so many lovely people. We were there for 13 days on Copacabana. Did you visit Ipanema while you were there?

@DianneN I agree that you shouldn't go back to Florida while this virus is still around. I am so surprised you spent 13 days at a hotel along Copacabana. I think Ipanema is the next beach from there? I bought an amazing costume doll from a shop there.
