I have been trying to come up with an idea to make a simple canopy outside on the little patio I've made. I've looked online but, nothing is easy nor inexpensive to do. However ... I think I will buy either a lightweight tarp (not a big one) or a canopy/tent to set up over the table, chairs. I'm not sure which yet. With the storms we get ... lots of wind, heavy rain ... I want to be able to take it down quickly. Another idea is ... I may just invest in a 10 ft. umbrella on a stand that lets the umbrella hang out over the table ... chairs. If anyone has any great ideas that don't require much money ... simple to do-it-yourself ... send them my way. I want to make our little patio very cozy, pretty for the rest of the summer ... then fall, my favorite time of the year! Later, I may build a small firepit ... I have been watching videos on how to. Then again, I may not. Time will tell. I have a million ideas going through my mind on things I'd like to do. So many ... when I try to think of only one I forget! I would like to build a simple water fountain that's very pretty. Then ... buy a little pump that circulates water ... the sounds from water falling would be beautiful when sitting outside. I think most important is to have some kind of shade as we live in direct sunlight. I will figure it out. Remember ... if you have any ideas that don't require a lot of money that you think I'd be interested in, please tell me. Thank you in advance. Goodnight everyone!

You have a good idea and I hope you find what you are looking for, Maybe you can look online and find a table with an umbrella to sit in the shade. Best of luck and I hope you have a good night,

Thank you! Today I was mentioning it and ... like magic they said 'I think I have something that might work for you' ... so, time will tell.

I think just an umbrella would be good to sit under. I am sure you will come up with a good idea.

I want a big umbrella too ... they bring color and cheerfulness too as well as functionality.
