20 days till faculty meeting

Our teachers start back on August 19th. We are supposed to have our first meeting in the auditorium. There are about 70 staff and there are 400 seats in the auditorium, so we will be able to social distance. Also, all our buildings have been tested for air flow and air exchange and the auditorium is very good.
I don't know how to feel about that. I know a lot of teachers are very nervous about going back in person, but I am half worried and half excited. Worried because if one student is infected, we could be infected too. Excited because I've had enough of this nearly schedule-less time. Also worried because how in the world am I going to be able to make myself get up at 6:00 every day?
I think I have become lazy during the past several months. How about you?

School teaches students to love learning. If it helps them get a job, then that is good, but the first purpose is to teach about the world. Then they have the basis from which to learn any job.

You are 70 in a big auditorium for 400. I guess that is good enough for the distancing. Good luck and be safe.
