Officially over: Tokyo area rainy season!

So I noticed yesterday that we did see the sun but also a lot of clouds, so it was pleasant, not what I would call "summer hot." Woke up this morning to the same. So I looked on the Japan Meteorological Agency website (where I go for this information) and it said that officially the rainy season ended on August 1 in Kanto-Shinetsu area, where Tokyo is. Basically all across central Japan. Today it was declared over in the southern Tohoku area, right north of us. Only the northern part of Tohoku the rainy season was not yet declared to be over.
It is officially like so in my area: it started three days late on June 11, and ended August 1, eleven days late!
Goodbye 2020 rainy season, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Now I have sunny and humid heat (usually up to about 35ºC) to look forward to, and did I mention that pretty soon the typhoon season will be here (as my friends in the Philippines know very well...)

Hear we having mixed weather conditions. That's why not go for ice creams my friend. But kids always asking but we don't allowing now.

I just made some ice lollies out of local sweet potato and milk. I am not likely to buy any ice cream right now.

It is amazing how some places have rain on a calendar . . . here it is always different - we get rain in winter mainly and maybe some in spring (never ever consistent). We have been in the 100s(F), but supposedly we will be cooling down this week from 90s to high 80s. I don't even think our hottest days have hit yet

Hot weather here happens in spring, summer and fall with cool rainy season in between spring and summer.

I'm glad your rainy season is over. I don't envy you the heat or typhoon season. Stay safe.
