father wants to suicide

If your father is a womanizer at young age and hobby is drinking alcohol , will you forgive him? Even now after 17 years he came back he never change. He is selfish thinking what food he should eat only to my mom and torture us by saying will suicide if we don't forgive him. What kind of dad he is? I am really angry after what he done to our family until now. He never sincerely apologize to us especially my mom. My brother is also married and move out already and told this situation to his wife, and my brother is a lawyer. Should i ask opinion from him about this?
