Day 364
Promise 443
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye who work iniquity.
How do you know the person you listen to on television, radio, or your minister, is a man or woman of God? There are numerous people who claim to be God’s servant, called to minister in His name?
Jesus told the people not everyone who ministered in His name would enter heaven. Only those who did the will of the Father in heaven.
What is the true test of discipleship in Jesus Christ? How do you know God called your minister and is doing His will not his own?
As Christians, you listen to many people, you buy the books, listen to the tapes, attend conferences, and go to church. How do you know the books and tapes are leading you on the path of eternal life and not trying to sidetrack you?
One way to know is to look at the books. Where does the money go you give in your tithes and offerings?
Jesus said you would know them by their fruit.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Look at their agendas? Are they involved in activities to bring them publicity, or bring honor and glory to God?
What is their home life like? Do they live what they preach or do you only see a public life devoted to God, not a private one?
When a person’s life lines up with God’s Word, then you know God’s Word and will lives in them. Everything they do is for God’s glory, not theirs.
The true test of faithfulness to God comes at the end of a person’s life when Jesus welcomes His faithful servant home. Until then, read, study, pray, give your tithes and offerings, and make yourself available to God so He will welcome you home with open arms and not cast you from His presence with the words, I never knew you.
Let’s pray: Father, You alone know my heart and my life. You know my thoughts and see my actions. You know whether my heart is set on You or my agenda. Let Your Word fill me to overflowing. Let everything I do be Your will not mine. Show me those areas I need to change so I never hear You say, depart from Me, I never knew you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Money used to have faces. Now it goes by like a bar code. | || | ||| |

In my church, it still has a face. I know where every cent goes and it isn't to line my pastor's pockets.
When it comes to your tithe and offering, give to God and He will reward you regardless of where the money goes you give to a ministry organization. God will deal with the unfaithful who have their own agendas and not His.
