I keep on resetting my device so i need again to sign in to gmails. One of my old account cannot access for a long time because the recovery number that i put is not on me right now and i forget it.I have to access it because one of my virtual wallet was linked to it. Finally i remember my sister and ask her if she remember my old number. She gave me and i used it as the number recovery. Now finally i opened it,thanks God.

I'm not getting you. I'm curious to know more about this because I had a similar issue with one of my gmail accounts and I could never access it because the number that I gave as recovery number is not mine anymore. In my case, I remember the number but if I type it in, it sends an OTP to that number which obviously I can't access. How did you manage to use the number without otp to recover your account? Could you please share it with me?

@rhuenz oh does it give an option to confirm the number now? Actually this issue that I had was a like 2 or 3 years back and at that time it gave just one option which required us to type in the OTP. May be they have added a few options now. I might try to recover it now and see if I get this option. But anyway, it's good to know. Thank you so much. Appreciate your help

I know my password but it says this device is not used previously. So to prove that its me i have to put the recovery number.

Password management is a tough job. There are so many passwords we use for different purposes. So at last it become so confusing.

Yes but actually password is not the problem,it says the device is not recognized so they need assurance that it's me.
