When You Want to Know

There was a sign at my local drugstore telling people who took their Covid test it might take 5 to 7 days to get their results. I guess some places get backed up, but I would want to know far sooner than that. I hate when I get an MRI, but have to wait for the doctor to fill me in.

5 to 7 days doesn't sound so bad. I have heard of them taking weeks to come back.

I had a test 2 weeks ago--took 2 days for the results but then again it only meant I was negative THAT day!

We have never felt that we have a cause to get tested.
My hubby has to go to Michigan for work at the end of the month, and he will have to get tested after going there. We will find out how long it takes for the testing results to come back.
Our government has an app that you can download for your phone, that if anyone in your contact list tests positive you would get a notification on. We feel that it is a bit too invasive, and have decided not to download the app at this time.

@AmbiePam I don't know if they are mandatory there or if they will be when he goes or not. He is taking lots of vitamin D before he has to go as there is a theory that it can help in the defense of covid.
He will have to self-isolate for 14 days after he returns, our government will be checking in on him to make sure he is doing that.

Here they say it is 3 to 5 days of waiting but usually it takes longer.

In that time you could be spreading the virus to other people. I guess they are backed up, as you said.
