Brittany Austin is being called a hero after she made the decision to carry out of the classroom at the Little Disciples Day Care Center which is located in Elkton Maryland on Tuesday.
The day care center was flooded when Tropical Storm Isaias passed over the area with heavy rains and high winds that caused one of the buildings to suddenly take on water inside which caused cancellations of the school day.
Brittany decided to do her part to make sure that the children inside the daycare center who are around three years of age who would not be able to walk in the flooded water to the parking lot where they would reunite with their parents to transporting the children out of the danger zone.
Brittany was able to transport around 25 children from the daycare center to the parking lot safely.
The parents of the children are grateful that a daycare center teacher did her part to save lives even though the way home from school was delayed due to the floods in the area.
Best part of this story is that there were no injuries. I am sure that Brittany will be rewarded by city officials for her act of bravery.

Some schools are open but with restrictions like wearing a face mask in class.

That is certainly a great act of bravery but how come during this time they were at the daycare center?

I guess the storm came later than they thought it would come. I guess that the government officials did not warn them to stay home.

I agree with you since she did her duty to save her students from drowning in the flood which makes her a hero.
