Reading is fundamental!

Reading is fundamental! Ever since I was a child, I was told that reading would allow me to enhance so many things in my life, from writing to speaking, and expressing myself. Back then I was a little skeptic because when one is young these kinds of stuff do not really get one's attention. Years went by and I was more attracted to new things that made me want to express myself in a different language and that is when I literally fell in love with my second language which you all know is English. So my beautiful mom signed me up for English lessons and the rest is history. In this sense I have to say that I could not live in a world without reading cause how I think, write and even think I owe it to reading. This was me telling you one of my passions! Thank you for reading! Photo by Google image

@nawala123 yeah I remember back in the day when I was in high school, our teachers used to force us to read directly from books rather than articles on line.

Reading opens the world to the reader. I'm glad that my dad taught me to read even before I went to school.

That is so right! That's why I always find some time to read, even in English cause it widens my vocabulary and makes me read better!

@BelleStarr Oh that is amazing! How long you have been speaking French? And do you mind sharing with me how did you learn it? I love reading how people learnt their second language skills!

@BelleStarr oh that makes so much sense now! I love my parents but it would have been fun if there spoke another language I would have done anything to learn it by heart!

Why? Doesn't he like learning English? What about playing with colors in English? Most non-speaker little ones like playing with colors.

@jvicentevalera I hope you mean daughter and not son? It’s also nothing to be sorry about. It was always a possiblity that one or all of my kids could have some type of learning disabilities. Learning disabilities are very easy to live would. People don’t know when they look at you unless you tell them.

I try to do it on daily basis, though sometimes I get lazy! However I make sure to watch series with subtitles on so I learn while listening and reading! Isn't English your first language?

@marlina That's so right! It reminds me that life is a long learning way, so it is up to us whether learning what's right or wrong!

That's a way to read, it doesn't necessarily have to do with only books, I think many people enjoy reading on line articles than books and that's fine too!
