The Journey

August 8, 2020 9:14am CST
It is very saddening when many people want to be successful overnight without putting in effort and time. This is why many go into depression when it finally hits them that they can't achieve the luxuries in a fortnight.I believe achieving our goals and dreams is one thing but the process is also another thing that can't be left out.It is that journey we walk to achieve our dreams that shapes us. Let us learn to respect the journey and realize it is the process to achieving our dreams.

It is a pity that for so many people success is money. There are many other goals to achieve in life.

I wished to pay off my mortgage. I did it by reducing the number of years from 23 years to 10 years at my mortgage appointment in 2012. Then I paid 160 pounds more than my direct debit per month. This built up overpayments which made me pay less interest. I thought I would try to pay it off in 2017. So at the start of 2016 I wished to owe around 25,000 pounds. Then get my mortgage down to 10,000 at the start of 2017. I used a regular saving account to build up 3500 pounds. Then on 17th June 2017 I paid off my mortgage. It was so wonderful and worth all that effort.

That's right! Success is the result of a process of striving and accumulating.
