A detoxifying drink!

When my 2 oldest brothers came here, they went to the market and bought lemon fruits. They said it was cheap. My oldest brother brought his tumbler with slices of lemon with some honey to taste. He said it is a detoxifying drink.
Actually, I have one male colleague in school who brings along his tumbler with lemon, and said it cleanses him 'internally'. I had to search in on Google and read that the drink can help in urine production, promote immune system, and has lots of vitamin C.
I asked my son to buy 6 pieces of lemon in the supermarket and it cost much (6 pieces for P240). I therefore asked our laundrywoman to buy P100, and she gave us 8 pieces.
I prepared 2 tumblers of the lemon juice already. In a way, it reduced the edema that always appears in my feet. My elimination pattern is also better. My appetite though is also better, and I think I am not losing weight, but adding more.
This morning, I sliced 2 pieces again and added lukewarm water and 1/4 teaspoon of sugar. I drink it most of the time. My urine production improves, and my tummy is not feeling bloated anymore.
Do you concoct your own detoxifying drink? There are some pieces of turmeric here but I cannot just add these to my drink.

Yes, I do. Sometimes I make my own detoxifying drink - lemon, cucumber, and mint.

Where did the laundrywoman get the much cheaper lemons? I am doing sometimes my own calamansi juice since we have some calamansi plants here.

@ridingbet It is better to buy those in the wet market indeed. I think it is fresher also than buying them in malls.

yes lemons are readily available now in the wet markets unlike in the past.
what i know about the lemon in warm water is you're supposed to take it first thing in the morning.
i'm glad it's working for you.
