"Money earning apps"

I've heard many things about these applications. They claim that you can earn money thru reading articles, playing games, watching videos and etc. I downloaded a few and took my chances since I'm really short of money and have to pay rent soon. It's been a week and I still haven't earned a lot. Sure I've earned few peso but it's not enough to cash it out.
What do you think? Am I wasting my time or should I still continue?

Most of them are either scams or pay you so little that you can't withdraw money. Why not start a YouTube channel, post some original interesting videos on topics of your choice, and enroll for YouTube's monetization program once you gain 1000 subscribers? Many have become millionnaires this way.

Some apps and websites are just not worth trying. I was in a survey site, it is a shame cause when I have available surveys I start answering questions but once I answered an item they didn't believe I should, they got me out of the survey telling me "i was not what they were looking for" but if I was not what they were looking for why did they send me the survey on the first place? It was a waste of time!
