In India Janmashtami is a Hindu festival celebrated all over the country. The idols of Lord Krishna is offered fruits and flowers by the devotees. Mantras are chanted and sweets are offered to God. The devotees meet each other and distribute the fruits.

Those Hindus who celebrated Janmashtami considering Lord Krishna's day of birth celebrated yesterday. Those who celebrated it considering Lord Krishna reaching Yashoda's house next day celebrate it today. Thanks Adie.
