There is a stigma, even today about those with disabilities, but where the world sees imperfections, God sees potential, he uses those the world sees as broken Nic Vujicic was born without limbs, yet he is a motivational speaker known worldwide, his ministry is Life Without Limbs. Joni Eacerson Tada went on a swim trip with her Senior Class in 1967, a dive ended in tragedy when she ended up becoming a quadriplegic. She went on to start Joni and Friends a world wide ministry part of that ministry is to providing wheelchairs to those who can’t afford them worldwide. Kristen Jane Anderson lay down on the train tracks at the age of seventeen when a series of Emotional Traumas overwhelmed her. She was ran over by thirty three freight cars. She lost both of her legs, but survived, she went on to start Reaching for You Ministries, a ministry that helps those, especially youth dealing with issue of depression and suicidal thoughts. Her story is told in her book Life in Spite of Me, co-written with well known, nand awesome Christian Author Tricia Goyer. Heather Whitestone (Mccallum) became the first deaf Miss America in 1995, her story can be found in Let God Surprise you co written with Angela Hunt. Amy Purdy lost her legs, and very nearly her life, when at the age of nineteen she contracted Bacterial Meningitis. She then went on to become a snowboarding championship, and even went on to star in Dancing With the Stars in 2014. She’s currently recovering from yet another life changing surgery, but continues to inspire others. The author of one of our best loved Hymns Blessed Assurance Jesus is Mine, Fanny Crosby was blinded from an eye infection as an infant. And in the Bible Jacob limped Miriam had Leprosy Saul suffered from depression and anxiety Moses had a stutter, yet he was the only one who could see God. Issac was blind... Perhaps it’s time we start redefining possible!

You're right, disabilities only limit those who allow them to. All very inspirational stories. I knew almost all of them.
