Body Bags

No. Not the kind that you may be (or actually are ) thinking of. I'm talking about making items such as wash cloths and scrubbies to go along with travel size shampoo, soap, toothpaste, tooth brush, and deodorant and put them in little bags. These items are used for the body. So, they could be body bags, right? I came up with the idea a short while before Christmas of last year. There are so many homeless people in the county where I live and I got to wondering if they have any items for personal hygiene. I have quite a few wash cloths that I have crocheted and can be used for these little body bags. There is a clothes closet here in town where I can take them so that they can be distributed to people in great need of these items.

That is an awesome idea. You can crochet up little soap savers, and maybe even little drawstring bags that can be used for change or keeping any valuables the homeless might want to keep close to them.

I think soap savers might be a bit better because that could be used as the wash cloth as well as store the soap. Thanks for the idea.

@bluerubymoon53 Your welcome, glad to help. I might crochet one for a friend of mine, I bought her a bar of soap from her favorite place.

I really don't have much of an imagination. At least I don't think so. I do try to think of little things that I can make that don't take a whole lot of time so that I can make more. I've donated hats the last 2 years so this year I'm crocheting scarves and some hats. I will be making more wash cloths, too.

@bluerubymoon53 that's amazing. I'm not much into crafting things besides the homemade Christmas trees I make.
