Travelling is one of the best remedies for a tragic breakup. Everything, from writing an itinerary, driving alone, trying new foods, to meeting new people, is an excellent way of boosting the healing process.
So if you just got dumped, consider travelling to a place you've never been before, and stay there for as long as you can.

A new place and a fresh start might definitely help in healing faster. Good thoughts.

@Mbenieve Yes and I feel irrespective of whether we had a break-up or not, someday we have to live a life like that. Just carefree.. without having to live for someone else all the time.

@Miracle_Maya that's true. I read a story of a young man who quit his job, sold everything and travelled the world with his pet. And I envied him.

I agree that traveling overseas to a variety of places in a very good idea. It can boost the healing process as the person sees new places, explores different foods and meets other cultures. It is educational to learn about the history in a museum. You can forget the person that dumped you so much easier than staying at home.

Breakups are really hard and it would be really difficult to move forward on your life if you constantly feel the presence of your past relationship on your usual surrounding. Traveling is a form of self care as well as taking time to do soul search.

Travelling to a new place will free our mind from negative thoughts.
