How much do you know about Vietnam?

I heard and read somewhere that some people just think about war when they talk about Vietnam although the country went through that period long time ago. Is that true to you? What is your impression about it?

Very true I know very little about Vietnam except that they fought bravely against the mighty America and that we can see some Indian culture in Vietnam.

The city of Hanoi comes to mind. It is situated in the north of the country. It is very close to Halong Bay which is an area of sea with beautiful looks cliffs. There is a similar place to this which is in land.

I think that people of that generation will always think about that war when they hear anything about Vietnam. When I was a child , the Vietnam war was always in the news and on TV.
