What Were They Thinking

I was listening to a podcast on missing children, in one of the cases, the Boyd Mother let her eleven year old son, leave the house and walk around after eleven p.m. That definitely was not something I was allowed to do. I know these parents regret their decisions now, and I’m not trying to judge them, but letting a child wander around after eleven p.m just doesn’t seem wise to me.

That's sad to know. Young ones should not to go outside especially at night.

I agree that wasn't a smart thing to do. I wonder what the reasons were for allowing it? I'm 54 and don't like being out at 11 PM!!

I agree that it doesn't seem wise at all. I'm interested to know more of the story and the parents' reasons for allowing it.

Unfortunately they didn’t really get into that, i certainly wouldn’t let my niece or nephews run around unsupervised late at night...

@Michellekidwell oh I see. I think the mother has the reason why she lets her son out at night.

I don't know what to outside after 11pm. It's dangerous to be outside after 11pm though.

It is not right for an 11 year old to go out after eleven in the evening. I heard about someone leaving a two year old boy on a bus and the stupid driver didn't notice. Didn't his parents wonder where he was? Police take the news of a missing child very seriously.

I agree, there is no reason for children to be wandering the streets alone at that time. I can’t imagine how a bus driver didn’t notice that baby on the bus, the driver definitely needs to pay better attention...

That's ridiculous. We always had to be in by the time the street lights went on. It's no longer safe out there after dark. I'm sure they regret their decision.

I doubt if they ever care for their children.

I can’t say whether that’s the case or not, but some children certainly lack discipline
