I just drank watered down beef stock

The title of this discussion is a lie. I didn't actually drink watered down beef stock, but I might as well have.
I went to the world of walls today (among other places, but that's going to be it's own little discussion) and perused the aisles for a protein drink that is also low carbs. Well... There were maybe three options and Vital Proteins Collagen Water Blackberry Hibisicus were among the options. I think I would have been better off with the coffee or dark chocolate protein drink, neither of which sounded good to me at that moment. This collagen water?
It tastes like watered down beef stock... Probably because it's collagen comes from Bovines.

I was hoping to get something with low carb and protein. I didn't read the bottle closely enough, it was disgusting.

Yech! My husband bought me protein water which was awful; so he's watering it down and drinking it himself. Have a great week.

@LindaOHio Oh yes, I've talked to her but I'd like to talk to her some more about it. I came across a site called That Low Carb Life (or This Low Carb Life?) and I want to get a recipe or two to try out soon.

Oh no. I've only had a french dip sandwich one time that I can think of. I don't mind drinking the broth from stews if that is all that's left in my bowl, but this was really gross.

@gr8nana6 It was techically flavored water. The flavor was supposed to be blackberry hibiscus, but I didn't get any hint of that.
OH, there's plenty of choices out there, but I try to get the lower carb stuff.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Was it flavored water or a shake? I drink protein drinks, mine are from Ensure Cafe Mocha and Premier Cafe Latte. They are good.

We have vanilla protein drinks in the kitchen. But they are from when Dozer was sick earlier this year.

@thislittlepennyearns I've tasted some pretty tasty low carb dinners. A few weeks ago, I got together with friends and we made maple mustard chicken, garlic cauliflower mashed potatoes, and zucchini fritters. Everything was under 20 net carbs but it didn't taste like it.

Yeah, I didn't look at the bottom where it said "protein from bovine" I don't know why the creators of this thought it would be good. It was nasty.
