Ethanol fuel is fast replacing gas and kerosene fuels. Many homes in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and some African countries have opted for ethanol as a cooking fuel.
The fuel is used in special stoves that are easy to light up using a matchstick.
Since ethanol produces a larger heat flux, cooking takes place faster than when using gas or kerosine. It doesn't produce smoke, soot or smell hence making it pollution free.
Can you use ethanol in your home for cooking?

@Butterfingers thanks. Is it the same as the gas that's commonly used? That's stored in gas cylinders?

I haven't heard of ethanol used for cooking but ofcourse biogas ( methane) has been in use in Indian villages for cooking purpose.
