What do I before I go to sleep?

Since I used to have severe sleep problems and still suffer from occasional mild to moderate insomnia
I am following these tips to help me solve my sleep problems, the hour before my bedtime, I dim and/or turn out all the lights in the house. Next, I do anything I can that does not use bright lighting, and also that does not use electronic devices with screens on them. See the EXAMPLES paragraph below for some specific ideas on how to use the time. Finally, during this time frame, I will drink water, juice, or herbal tea because caffeine and alcohol are both out. Yes, by modern standards, all of this feels quite limiting. However, I know for sure that my ancestors all thrived just fine and got great sleep by following these rules, so I choose to ignore the inconvenience and do as told by my doctors.
Because, both my family physician and my sleep specialist have told me that if I want to get the best possible sleep and get many benefits including better memory, stronger immune function, and feeling more rested, I need to:
*Avoid bright light, especially white light, blue light, plant grow lights, and violet or UV “black light,” for the 1 hour before bedtime. Blue light is emitted by basically all electronic device screens.
*Avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol during the 1 hour before bedtime
*Avoid the use of ALL electronics with screens on them, including but not limited to TV, cell phone, and Kindles or other reading devices, for 1 hour before going to sleep.
Yes, a PIA to do all the above but you asked, and honestly, that is what I do. :)
Now for some EXAMPLES: I do house chores that can be done with dimmed light such as laundry washing and folding, packing the next day’s lunches, vacuuming, dusting. Or starting up a breakfast-friendly crockpot dish in the crockpot. That way I have a hot breakfast ready in the morning without having to cook at 7 am, etc.
If I’m totally out of house chores and there’s nothing suitable to crockpot cookery, I can plan my outfit for the next day and put it someplace easy to grab in the morning, then take a nice long bubble bath with lavender scent. If I’m still not sleepy after the bath (a rare occurrence), I will either do calisthenics to get physically tired or read an old fashioned, real paper book, by candlelight.
What is your routine before bedtime?

Oh my, all those avoid things I don't avoid
. It's nice that you get to do other things, I just can't avoid cellphone before going to bed. But I like the thought of having bubble bath with lavender though. I wish I could have nice scents around. That must be a nice feeling to relax.

@jassmine I know it is a must but you know, I love watching movies or chatting with friends til midnight or til I fell asleep. I miss having relaxation like having body massage while smelling scents that can help you also relax and sleep better.

@annavi23 I understand, we all like to chat and watch TV, but after that, for I found it very hard to sleep directly after turning the screen of my phone off...
