Sunil Gavaskar: An Indian cricketing legend.
He has been one of the best Indian batsman to play fast bowlers very well.
He was a mainstay of the Indian batting for a long time.
I watched this innings of his:
This was in a test match India played against Australia in 1985-86.
Gavaskar scored 166 Not out with some great shots. He got good company from the lower order batsmen.
It was a delight to watch.

Yes Gavaskar is one of crickets all time greats. Also he never used to wear a helmet while facing fast bowlers.

Yes he rarely wore helmets. May be only towards the end of his career. I have read about his 100 of 94 balls in a match in a series vs West Indies in 1983-84, when the Windies fast bowlers' bouncers injured a couple of Indian batsmen but Gavaskar responded superbly.

So you know about Sunil Gavaskar, and other cricket players? How is the current Cricket situation in Kenya.
Kenya had one of its best moments in 2003 World Cup Cricket when its team reached the semi finals.
Yet it looks as if there has been some decline in the recent years.

Yes a great personality indeed. I also read that he once saved a family from mobs during the 1993 Mumbai riots.
