Sour songs have a way of hitting you at home, that’s the reality of Hands by Jewel, the scene in the video shows a home being lost to fire, that is the reality for far to many here in California right now, and yet there is hope found in the rubble, one talks of Wedding Rings being found amidst the rubble, hope amongst the ashes.
This song is over two decades old, but the message is timeless, and seems to be a fitting share for the day.

I remember Jewel write all of her songs. She first write them as poems and add melodies.

@Michellekidwell BTW I have the album where this song came from. I remember how loves using the term "fragile flame" on her lyrics. I think the flame symbolizes life. She also have a bonus track duet with her mom.
