Church Canceled Again

I kind of new it was going to happen, but Session has decided to cancel church for 9-6, which I understand completely. We have a congregation of many elderly and immune compromised so I really feel this is for the best. There unsure about 9-13 yet, but I would not be surprised if they cancel it for 9.13 as well, honestly I am glad they are taking it seriously.

We had 2 services last month cancelled as cases in our county were rising. This month our preacher is going to hold two services outside because there is a couple families who told him they would feel safer outside than inside. They haven't come back since we began holding indoor services. Our congregation is mostly elderly too. These next two weeks will be interesting as we aren't sure if the younger families will show up and how the elderly ones like sitting outside.

@Michellekidwell I agree over 100 is much too hot to be outside. Our temperatures are actually going to be cooler, in the lower 80's as opposed to the upper 90's for this weeks service.

It’s supposed to be well over a hundred degrees Sunday so outside service at this point isn’t an option...

Better safe than sorry. People at church would be 'not attending church,' anyway, if they are unwell. And we'd give them a call or visit and roster some home-cooked meals for them. This has been a Christian practice even BCC, before chinese covid. Stay safe and well.

Especially with the elderly, it's a good idea to cancel.
