I am not sure if this is accurate. The local news broadcasted that 180, 000 Filipinos lost their jobs due to the pandemic. This statistic's source is the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Personally, it is more than this. How about in your country? Image Credit: solidariteit.co.za

Based on how this government is lying with figures in the past, I would say that there are a lot more unemployed Filipinos than this statistic given.

I am sure it is not accurate. I thought that transparency should be practice, but it is not happening.

I hope we can have these vaccines and live without fear working out.

With a lot of businesses closing up l guess it will indeed raise unemployment around. l think government is in panic mode too since this means our economy is going to be in peril after having a lot of going out of job at this time.

I can also tell that our government is in a panic now, especially when the COVID-19 cases spike. With the vaccines, I am sure you are thinking about how to get them for the people if they are available. I am sure they cannot give more SAP now due to a lack of funds.

We cannot control this thing. The local government is encouraging the locals to find jobs online lately.

That is possible since there are a lot of industries affected by the lockdowns. Lucky that we still have work from home.

I am grateful that I have work and same to you. However, my company is doing something bad to their employees. Although I can still endure wrongdoings.

Bad, better but worse at the same time, If a Democrat ran our country the way Trump was would be on fire, and get certain places are. . 1800, is a estimate just like our 8.4 is really 9.2 percent here out of work but really probably like 25 percent. I really cannot understand anything anymore as in regard to what they are doing, are they trying to destroy America? Hope your country not that bad.

I still have high hope that my country will surpass this challenge. As far as I can remember, some experts claimed that COVID-19 cases are starting to flatten, which I am being hopeful for. However, unemployed locals need to find their ways to have money. Since the local government proclaimed that they cannot give support financially now.

Employees at private firms are losing their jobs. The situation is tense as the Global economy has come to a screeching halt due to pandemic.
