Your job

Have any of you ever been totally burnt out on your job? By that, I mean getting really depressed on your days off, thinking about having to go back? If so, how did you cope with it? Did you develop a strategy, or did you just run away screaming one day, and never go back?

Oh wow! Good for you! I'd love to retire, but that's not in my stars right now. I think I'd get bored anyway, unless I won the lottery and could afford to travel! LOL I just wish I could find a job that I like.

@Angels123 Maybe you just need a litle break my friend. In the past, when I worked as a debt collector, I couldn't get the bill, I just had to fish with friends, although we didn't get any fish , it calmed me a little. Maybe you have another way to rest a little

@agusariyanto LOL! You're probably right. I definitely need a break. I don't fish, but I do play Animal Crossing. LOL! I don't make any money at it, but it does ease the anxiety.

Yes, when I used to be in the firm. I resigned and put up my own office. No plans of working for other people anymore. I prefer working for myself.

@rina110383 Hats off to you! I would love to be able to work for myself. Unfortunately, I don't have the means, nor the creativity to invest in such an endeavor. I have tried, over the years, to think of something careerwise that would allow me some freedom and flexibility but nothing has leapt out at me. I'm still looking though, because I'm really tired of timeclocks!

@iniaku That's great to hear! I am taking a hiatus right now myself. I'm praying I'll be able to find a better job in a better run facility. Until then, I'm trying to work on different skill sets. Good luck to you!

I have some experienced with burnt out from a previous job.. though now i am comfortable working by myself and running some family business on the side, My strategy is to take breather. It's normal to vent out those stress from that hard days of work. Also, working out is the best stress reliever for me alongside praying of course. Thanks for sharing!

@StyleWithSense I agree that I need a breather. I'm doing something less structured, and enjoying it at the moment. It's a temporary job, but it pays well, and it's much more interesting than the repetitious one I was doing. Hopefully when it winds down, I'll be able to see clearly re my options. Thanks for your reply!

@Angels123 You're very much welcome! Hope you get to feeling better. Just take a day off, go to the beach or unwind through nature since nowadays it's not safe to go the malls hehe. Have fun! Thanks for your response!

Yes, but not for a long time. Wish I could go back to the job that I have, now.

@Angels123 I tried to have other options but did not always have them. I have equit jobs or have been forced out or some have closed so had to figure out other ways to earn money. It has not been easy.

Pandemic did not give me much stress, it was a couple who could not pay us after almost a year because of their being.closefisted even of they had money
