Howling dog in daytime?

I am wondering here,a dog from a neighbor is howling since morning,and now second time howling in the afternoon. I hate listening such sounds mostly in the evening.During my childhood, i used to listen howling dogs at night and people said the dog saw a ghost that's why haha. But if you read in Google the meaning of howling dog is different, and can't believe so. Do you scared when dog howls in the middle of the night? Photo: google
