I think they are both over-rated. California is too crowded and Florida has too many hurricanes and lightning. I have been to prettier places and a lot more affordable. Florida used to be a bargain but not anymore.

I like florida and its easier for me to drive there. No need to fly :) also it has disneyworld which I prefer to go to. cool place, i want to be on the beach always :)

Well Im from Florida, so my choice would be Cali, but my other half lived in San Diego for 7 years and Says he would live in Florida any day of the year then in Cali...But Id give Cali a chance cause ive never been west of the Tn line.

Well, I've never been to California, but I LOOOOVE Florida. The beautiful white sand beaches, and all of the entertainment options... and NO earthquakes! At least with hurricanes you have plenty of warning!

California! Been to both. Del Mar is absolutely gorgeous and the people are super nice!
