I blew an outlet

I heard sparks and smelled smoke then my aircon went out. I thought the AC overloaded and needed repairs.
But I looked closer, the plug to my extension cord and the outlet shorted out. I guess it was fault for putting much plug on there.
Then we hired a repairman today and realized that the AC connected wasn't supposed to be there. So he separated the connected farther from this outlet and now it's working again.
I had two outlets replaced and the other one was at the living room.

Hello @rakski What kind of aircon you installed? Yeah just make sure the AC wires aren't connected to the outlet.
