Quarantine

Ireland

I landed in Ireland a little over a week ago, I flew in from Birmingham United Kingdom. The UK is not on Irelands green list. So that means I am in quarantine for 14 days. I am not showing any signs or symptoms of covid-19 its just precautionary. I know some people may thing that is bliss. But I for one am a busy body. I love to go for a walk or run, I like going out to the shops or taking some photos along the river. This does not feel fun to me haha, I started feeling cooped up after day 3, but it is what it is. The situation could be a whole lot worse. how many of you would enjoy fourteen days of solitude being locked in the house and how many of you love to go out and explore your area or just go for a walk through town?

It would be lovely if this could finish up and we could get the restrictions lifted, unfortunately it is what is needed right now. But it will also make us appreciate a little more when we are aloud to do those things again, I personally miss traveling. I had so many travel plans that are now on hold.

@Overflowing Sooner or later this will all just be a memory and we can continue with seeing the world, it will make the experience that much sweeter.

We have been confined to our homes since March. Till Mid May I was the only one in our family who was going out only for the weekend groceries. After that others too have had some outside movement but very restricted. Yes, at times, the feeling of being inside makes one feel sad. Yet it is better than roaming outside and getting into a higher risk of getting the virus.

@Bridge94 Yet the rate at which it has increased indicates that there are people who are disregarding the guidelines.

This is very true, rather stay indoors and do your part in curbing the transmission rate and slowly things can get back to normal

The answer depends on the living conditions someone has. There's a difference between having to stay in a crowded apartment with several people or alone or with a partner in a house. What do people do who have a dog which is used to running around a lot?

I am fortunate to be living in the house with my family, although they do not have to quarantine, I think there is rules in place for a situation like that where if you need to take your dog for a walk you get some time I think its an hour and you have to stay within a certain distance from your house and have to stay certain distance away from people. But honestly I am not entirely familiar with all the rules, hence to avoid breaking any I just stay in the house.
