Failed YouTube Tutorial

Yesterday i posted about my cravings in turkish delight thats why i searched on YouTube some of home mades. I was so excited and i tried it today,i did 2 trials. The first dont have the right consistency and kinda wet. The second one i got already the right fluffyness but still wet whenever i rolled it on powdered sugar its still absorb the sugar. I tasted a real turkish delight and it shouldn't be kinda wet that the powdered sugar can last long. Do you have any trials at home also that didn't reach your expectations?

Sorry you havent hit the "perfect" zone yet. Yes, I looked up how to install a headlight in a 2008 Chevy Silverado. It looked like pure hell, and I still don't know if I can replace a single bulb, not just the whole assembly. I've been installing headlight bulbs in my Nissan Xterra for years. Maybe 20 minutes of work and a few curse words, but that's it.

You don't say which tutorial you used or what the ingredients were but you might try this recipe. The BBC recipes are usually good, so it should work. This one uses no gelatin and the instructions seem clear and detailed. If your turkish delight was too wet, it's likely that you either didn't bring the syrup up to the right temperature before adding the water/cornstarch mixture or didn't cook it for long enough after adding the cornstarch and test it in ice water to see that it cooled to the right consistency. Notice that it is rolled in a mixture of cornstarch (cornflour) and confectioner's sugar (icing sugar), not in just sugar.

Here's another recipe with American units and terminology. I sometimes like a mint flavoured turkish delight with a little peppermint essence and some green colouring.
