Group of delivery boys victim of online scam

Philippines

This is horrible beyond belief! Some one pretended to order something using the wrong address and customer name. Maybe we should reallly have a serious law when it comes to SIM card registry to prevent any of these form happening. It's a shame, even in this pandemic some people think it's okay to fool around. How the hell going to detect these?
Hindi bababa sa 10 delivery rider ang na-scam ng iisang tao na na ngayon ay hindi mahagilap. Ang mga inorder na produkto, pinadala sa isang bahay sa Las Piña...

Unfortunately even a pandemic will not stop scammers . . . if anything they will take advantage of these times and continue to scam people like this. Not cool!

In my country, we had forced registration of the SIM card as the government feared that the SIM cards without registration could be used for criminal activities.

Hello @id_peace That's what is being pushed here so we could at least avoid these scams. But socialist and activist groups feared it would lead to more prejudiced killings.

@piyushbhatia1 sorry I couldn't find a youtube that has english subtitle. It basically just explains those riders were scammed, including the owner of that address.

Saw this on the news. Really horrible! However, the registration of the SIM cards could pose more serious problems that the one it is trying to solve.
