Woke up due to the noise of airplane/jets?

I'm used to airplanes passing by on top of our house since the airport is a 30 minute ride away. I usually sleep through it but yesterday I'm not sure if it was a jet or just a really huge airplane but it was so loud, it woke me up, some even made our house vibrate.

And it was not just one, it happened 5 times, I was too tired to open the window and check what it was that actually passed by though.

We only have a small airport here so there is no noise from the airport. We do have noise from the train tracks.

i guess there are pros and cons to living near the airport. i mean do you still follow the 2 hours before departure?

If it's just a domestic flight, not really.

There was one time I arrived in the departure area/boarding area like 5 minutes before boarding the plane.
