A happy shanah Tovah to all my Jewish and Israeli friends, as tonight is Rosh Hashanah. This is another song with “Sally” in the title, which is good for any time of the year. Enjoy this classic that I’m sure you all saw coming. #7: Long Tall Sally - Little Richard Woooooo! See you tomorrow. When Little Richard passed away earlier this year, I repeated the oft-quoted remark that he was one of the true architects of rock and roll. This is one of those songs that you could probably hear a bar band playing on a Saturday night. Heck, even that “bar band” at the Caravan Club in Liverpool (Bee Tells, or something like that) played it! Maybe not a “Mount Rushmore” song, but it’s definitely part of the mountain on which the Rock and Roll Mount Rushmore of Songs sits!
