Know thy Baker's worth

September 19, 2020 11:36pm CST
We all love how cakes, cookies and other pastry products get more and satisfying feedbacks from our clients.. Especially if they really do appreciate the hardworks of being a baker. But sadly. You happen to hear something unnecessary coming from a close member of a family or maybe your friends? How would you react? Today, as I take a rest from yesterday's afternoon till 9pm making cookies, one of a relative on my hubby's side asked if how much can I give/rate her the cake design she have shown me.. I have answered honestly base on how I would do the cake plus, I lessen it for discount since it was coming from a relative to avoid unnecessary thoughts.. However, she told my hubby that the price was too much and told that the cake was just little.. I have given another price which is the lowest I can give but I think still wanting lower price and I can't afford that.. I also said, if they want, they can provide me the ingredients and do the work.. Or the best is to look for another one who would fit their desire cake on their desire budget.. I would not want myself to stress out on a cake that wouldn't sufice them Bakers do a lot more than normal people's eyes would see.. I hope they find a baker that would sufice them.

That is a good moral story. It is really good to appreciate people for the good services and goods they offer.

I told them so too.. It's really hard to explain such for people who can't understand the Baker's point of view

Yes, that's why I most likely to tell them to find other baker if I can't make it base on the lowest budget

Haha..i like that post above, that's true. Many costumers complain about how expensive they are buying, they don't know the effort in making it. For me,if you want it, you buy. If not then don't? Why complain? Will they do a business without profit?

Indeed... If they ask for a low tf from a high class actor, would they get him/her?
