Day 44
Promise 502
Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why call thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God.
20 You know the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother.
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lack thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they who heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Everyone wants security, an assurance they will have all they need. Those who achieved status and wealth, don’t want to give it up but want the assurance they won’t lose their position.
A wealthy man came to Jesus wanting to know how to obtain eternal life. Jesus told him the one thing he didn’t want to hear. He told him to sell everything and follow Him.
As Christians, you have eternal security. When you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, your status changed.
When Jesus told the people, it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for rich men to enter heaven, Peter asked Him who could be saved since they left everyone and everything to follow Him.
Jesus told Him that in following Him, he received more than they lost.
Jesus’ promise to you when you serve Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, is eternal security, and everything you need now.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
When you loosen your grip on your worldly possessions and give them to God, trusting Him to take care of you, you will find more blessings than you expected as He takes care of you.
Let’s pray: Father, everything I have is in Your hands. You assured me You would take care of everything I need. Help me trust You when I hold onto Your blessings. Help me bless others with what You give me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

That`s right. We have to trust him. I believe that he will not let us down. He will give what is best for us. Thanks for the prayer. God bless us all
