I recently discovered the person Meg Tilly (I had seen the author on the internet) during a zoom call on Writerspace Beach Party on Facebook. I was so taken by her. She is such a sweet lady. And for those of you who don't know, a former actor. Her big movie being The Big Chill (I know, I'm dating myself). During the zoom call I learned she had a YouTube channel and I have watched all her videos (they're not long). They are awesome (Meg's Cozy Tea Time is the name of it).

Eve Harris is prepared to house-sit and run the bakery she shares with her sister while Maggie goes on her honeymoon, but there's on problem: The house is already occupied. By a movie start. He claims to be her brother-in-law's friend, and not only does he insist on staying, but he also offers to help. Playing house has never been so tempting...
Rhys Thomas is looking for a place to lie low after wrapping up his latest film, so when his friend Luke provides his house as a safe haven, Rhys sees the perfect opportunity for a little R&R. But rest is the last thing on his mind as he and Eve grow close.
Except Eve and Rhys are not as alone as they think. And as danger trails Eve, it will take everything Rhys has to save the woman he loves.

Yes, Eve has a stalker, a stalker who is out to kill any many who gets in his way... and perhaps kill Eve too. It's a good thing she is staying at her sister's house and not her own apartment above the bakery... or is it?
And Rhys? How could the hottest man in the world land up in her sister's house? In her life? In her bed?
I have one pet peeve with this story. I like to see relationships develop. The instant physical attraction and subsequent arousal is just not believable for me (speaking from a woman who has lived it.
). There's a sexual attraction before there is even an opportunity to get to know each other, before there is even sexual tension. But I gotta say, the story was intriguing, titillating and exciting.
This book was a perfect mix of family, romance, sex and suspense - with some humour thrown in for good measure. I love a little bit of everything in the novels I read (except for sci/fi and fantasy). It makes the story a real story and not just a bunch of scenes.
The story was fast-paced, no boring bits, and short chapters which I love. Such an entertaining read.
As soon as I ready the many books in my TBR pile I will get the other two books in the series. You know I will. I always do.

@patgalca The character is usually their alter ego

@piyushbhatia1 Oh don't I know it! When I write I see myself as the main character whether I'm living it or being the actor in a movie.

I remember Ms Tilly. She was one of "the Megs"...
