Quiet day!

Today has to be a quiet day in the house. Why you might ask me? Well both of my 8 year old and 9 year old are taking these test called MAP’s. They are to see where there kids are in reading and math. This way there teachers know what areas she has to reteatch them in.
I didn’t make them take the practice test since I didn’t want them to feel stressed about passing or failing since that is not the type of test this is. I told them to answer the question as best as they can. I can read the question if the direction are not clear enough but I can not assist you in finding or pointing out what the correct answers are.

@ShyBear88 yes. Parents have to learn subjects themselves if they want their kids to excel in studies

@piyushbhatia1 no, not at all! You don’t have to be educated or know the subject well. Parents are not teachers. A lot of things kids learn they relearn the next year and get more information added to it.
So I don’t have to be good at English to help my kids with spelling or structure. They learn that with time and age. Also no two people are skilled in the same things so some subject come to some kids easier the other depending on there learning style

Never going to stress them out over test. I wouldn’t help them study of course but this is an assessment so studying doesn’t breed to be done.
