I made good use of my neighbor´s workers. The ivy is out.

This morning, as I got up, I heard some noises between my house and my neighbor´s. I was curious. There was a man cutting the ivy between my fence and my neighbor´s fence. But he was doing a bad job of it and it would not last long, as he was very careful not to do any harm to my ivy. I would take it all away if I had the strenght or the money. And my neighbor has the money. I am the poor neighbor of this well to do neighborhood. But I have intelligence and my neighbor is a sweet young man. We have good relations, specially since I let him have a lot of apricots if someone comes for them. So I called him and explained that what the workers were doing would not last long. Ivy GROWS. Specially in spring. Why didn´t we make a commando operation and have the workers cut as much as possible from my side? He was happy and sent the workers. Later, as I am a lady when I need to be, I call him again and asked him if I should give the workers "a little something" and then we could talk about how much would it cost me my part. And he said not to worry in either way. So we both thanked each other, I gave the workers more bags to put everything And I´m playing rancheras for them. They love them and I love them
