No Wonder, No Wonder They Do What They Do...

Alas my real green beans They do you wrong To cast you off so discourteously They now have replaced you Nay thrice nay with something else That look all dried up and wrinkled be They doth take hours to cook No matter how you try Alas my real green beans Without you its enough to cry When I see those dry wrinkled green beans in said shops Think me to myself no not on your nelly. Okay all my own words and I can remember not so long back when we could buy real green beans and they were easy to cook and a real powerhouse of vitamins. Alas now they look so dried up and tough skinned there is no juice in them like there was before. Before when you cut them open there was a kind of green juicy pulp none of that now its like its gone out of fashion. I still hold a hope that the real green beans will come back again and welcome will they be. I am not alone in protesting although it be in fun about what is happening to all the greens that have gone all awry. Hope it makes you laugh a bit I am picturing myself singing those very words to the music of "Greensleeves". No wonder people take to packet stuff instead no wonder.
A very famous English folk tune, dating back to the sixteenth century, in my arrangement for classical guitar. For info about my arrangements: info@chitarrar...

No not really its because they have replaced a lot of green veggies here like spanish green beans with other stuff that looks totally lifeless not even a real green colour or touch to it. I am having a bit of fun changing the original words of "Greensleeves" if you like its a kind of lament to what was and maybe never will be again.

I only buy fresh green beans and won a recipe contest with them. If they don't look good or aren't in season, I do not buy!!!

@DianneN But most of us girls double check the green stuff beforehand and if its not good it gets put back. They just dont´seem to get the message with the beans though.

Most of us girls in the shop take one look at them and walk off not even half priced would I buy them. Its the same with the tomatoes we know us girls what we know and leave the not good stuff alone way things go.
