This question came to me while watching tv the other day. Some people might feel weird with a guy being a nanny over a women being a nanny. The question as to why do some people think this is weird? Would it bother you to have a guy taking care over a child instead of a women? For me it doesn’t bother me it’s not about the gender of the person taking care of my child. It has to do with there experience and personality does their personality work with my kids. Is there style of dealing with situations closely match how my husband and I would deal with the Situation ?

Because thats one of misperceptions on gender most people take. I think its okay for males to do females' chores and vice versa as long as we can handle it.

I’m not talking about a chore. Being a nanny or caretaker isn’t a chore it’s a responsibility of taking care of someone for someone else that can’t at certain times.

I would prefer a female nanny, but I'm not opposed at all to having a male nanny. Although it is a moot point for me now that my kids are essentially grown.

It is a moot point for you. But your opinion is still valid either way.

because in society, nanny is for female gender. But you are right, as long as the person can do the work it should not matter

I know what most people prefer but that doesn’t mean a male isn’t any better or worse.
