Pintados: The Painted Ones

During the old days, some native people in the Visayas part of my country have tattoos on their bodies. It is a status symbol that they are great warriors. Not only in this place, but they can be found in Luzon. They are called 'pintados' or painted ones.
Do you have a low opinion for those people who have tattoos?
Are you willing to have one?

I have tattoos but I got some of them removed. I actually want to have tribal tattoos done by a tribal elder. I remember Philippines have a 103 year old tribal tattoo artist but she retired and let her grand daughters took over.

I think these days people like to have tattoos and it looks like a good status symbol
