Home made remedies for fighting allergies in Winter? / myLot

Common winter allergies are sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, coughing and postnasal drip, and itchy eyes, nose, and throat. I know a few drinks made with Ginger and Tulasi. Would like to know more about Grandma's tips.

I've never really experienced real winter! But during cold weather soups and drinks made with Ginger really helps ALOT!

It does help, I do use some Ginger and milk at night and it works for me

@sharon6345 actually I don't experience winter.the coldest I've experienced is hamarttan, everywhere becomes dry. And during raining season a period when ice literally fall out of the sky, You don't want to be outside by then

I ... I guess I regard 'everything I eat' as my "homeopathic medicine" ... 4 cups of coffee a day (not 'all at one time,' but one every hour-or-two from 6 a.m. to noon), a spoonful of beans (usually black beans) dusted with Turmeric with my breakfast, an Altoid (strong mint) after my early dinner, a banana right before bed. I don't know if those do anything specific about my allergies, but I hear that steady healthy habits make your immune-system stronger.
