My Daughter Facetimed Me From On Top of the World

Well, not really on top of the world, but on top of a mountain in Western Canada. Obviously travelling is difficult to do during this pandemic. My husband is from the east coast of Canada but the Maritime provinces have locked themselves in as their cases have been low and they want to keep it that way. My husband was unable to go visit this summer because he would have had to quarantine for 2 weeks, which would have been his whole vacation. So my girls have each taken trips out west, mostly the Calgary area in Alberta. My younger daughter and a couple of friends left Monday for British Columbia then I believe they drove to Alberta. She facetimed me today from the top of a mountain and I cried. I don't really know why. I miss her, yeah. But I think it was more that she chose to include me in this accomplishment. The above picture was taken a couple of days ago, not from our facetime. Now I've got to try and get these tears to stop flowing. Guess I'll hit the treadmill.

I got my hour of treadmill in but my stomach isn't feeling great. We have lots of beautiful photos from Alberta, especially from my other daughter which I'm attaching here.

@CarolDM As she says every time she posts a photo, she's living her best life. Happy for her.

My older daughter took Tourism & Travel in college. It was a 2 year course. The summer after her first year she got a job at a resort in the Calgary area. That is when she fell in love with the mountains. She and her fiance actually got engaged in Calgary, their favourite place in the world. My younger daughter did some mountain climbing in Hawaii (her university graduation vacation) and has taken to it as well. She is majorly athletic.
