In Kolkata 300 years ago, other than trams, rickshaw used to be one of the vehicles used. In the entrance gate of Peepal tree hotel, Tamara, there is a statue of cart and rickshaw showing that the vehicle did stand the test of time. It shows great art work.

Thanks Jojo it is hand drawn ones. I think the hotel dealt with antique art. 100 years ago may be cycle rickshaws with pedalling skills did not come.
