Far from his home
Weary and very tired
He wandered into the almost dark night
Finding a steps that went underground
He found a cave like sort of thing
It was deep it was profound
There were old fashioned metal candles
Lit like they were before
He sat there thinking
Lookig at the deep arches
They were man made
What is this place he asked
Answer came deep within the peace
The peace he felt there
Candles lit his night
As he sought to find an answer
An answer to his plight
Nothing surpassed the peace he felt there
He will always remember that
There were no borders or barriers
Just the peace within those very rough walls
Very old wisdom carried him through
Very old wisdom so ancient yet true.

Not sure about having them printed as long as people see them and get the message that is enough for me not that I have not thought about it though.
Thank you very much though.
The said guy had been in many different places all over the world but nothing like that just a knowing of very ancient wisdom came to him in the very deep silence candles as I said were sort of like the Genie lamp ones from before.1 person likes this

Tops just a thought I wonder if you felt the earth tremors we had here which were felt even in Barcelona. We had two earthquakes one biggish one then an hour later a smaler one and then strong after shakes all night 21 times after the two main ones quite a night I can tell you. Just wondering take care now.

@lovinangelsinstead21 No earthquake in my place, thanks God ! The last one was a few years ago before I moved in this house and was quite strong : I was shaked like a cocktail and a high garden wall of a neighbor felt on the road (and on cars parked at its feet).

October 4th is the feastday of St. Francis of Assisi. Your verses seem to be describing him when he opted for a hermitage.

@lovinangelsinstead21 That's a beautiful story.
The young Francis also found the ruins of San Damiano where he heard Christ say 'Repair my church.'

I have heard of San Damian yes before.
Also logically heard of St. Francis before the other one.

Its based on someone who found a very old churdh way a yonder in the times from before.
There was nothing there but the four very rough walls the high arches man made in the roof of it and the old fashioned metal candles that sort of looked like Genie lamps.
I did not know it was his feastday tomorrow so thank you for that will remember him and his love for all animals and others.

This was of course when there were no technical stuff around and faith within themselves is what they had and only that nothing to distract them or him.
Actually part of my story comes from within the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon when the original faith was suppressed and the other from an underground one also near Jerusalem somewhere.

I love it there when I can get there of course.
It was the times when the original faith went underground so to speak and he was telling us about those times and also about the place in Jerusalem.
All the places he had found like that all in bits and pieces one of those kind of documentaries.
We worked in Kenilworth in the De Montfort Hotel really hard work I can tell you.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Stratford is my neck of the woods, worked there for 7 years. Leamington Spa is where I was born.

Thank you very much I was writing it and did not think anyone would understand the feeling I was putting across not that it really matters.
