Tell me what it's like to be a mother

Welcome to myLot. I worried about it too before I became a mother for the first time. Pregnancy changes you. You find yourself anxious to hold that little one and keep it safe and be the best mother you can be. Now, I'm a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Welcome to myLot. I love being a mother, though there are always challenges and tears, there are joys and growing too. I didn't know how to take care of a baby until my first child. I guess willingness to learn is important. I just started to learn when my first child was born, and I am still learning how to take care of my three kids now as there are different "requirements" and challenges for each stage. You can always talk to the mothers and learn more about ways to take care of your kids, and find your own way. Though I don't really think it's sacrificing, being a parent means you need to give up something - When the baby is crying, you need to give up your sleep or rest and take care of him, etc. Being mentally ready is important, and I suppose we have to be physically ready as well. There are lots to talk about being a mother... hope you'll find your own way.
